Lithuanian Coat of Arms

The Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania was established in 1919 in Washington, D.C. to help Lithuania establish itself in the world community as an independent nation. Since 1924, the Lithuanian Embassy has stood at 2622 16th Street NW and has welcomed Lithuanian nationals and Lithuanian Americans alike.

Lithuanian Embassy Diplomats of today and yesterday, together with the Lithuanian American community, have helped Lithuania establish its membership in the European Union and NATO. The Embassy’s steadfast mission is to promote democracy, freedom, solidarity, and tolerance.
